The type of meditation that takes you on a journey through a narration is commonly known as guided meditation. In a guided meditation someone is going to read to you a script that is written especially for meditating. A CD can be used for a guided meditation or someone can read the script for you. The aim of guided meditation is for you to let go of any conscious thoughts and let your subconscious take over and follow what is being said. Guided meditation can certainly help you relax and unwind and it can also help you sleep better at night and gain stress reduction.
